Structure:
This is an individual event. This will be a 4-week league. The winners for each division will be determined by their cumulative score over the length of the league. Archers can participate in multiple divisions. Each division an archer participates in requires a full fee payment. League divisions are as follows:
Divisions:
Open Class
This class is designed with compound target archers in mind. No equipment is off limits in this class. If it can be secured to a vertical bow, it’s fair game.
Bowhunter Class
This class will be a little different from the more traditional bowhunter classes you might be familiar with. Bow length shall not exceed 35” axle to axle (+/- .5”). Arrow size shall not exceed .246” inner diameter. Archers cannot utilize a lens in their scope, however, verifiers and clarifiers will be allowed in the archer’s peep sight. Given the trend towards longer hunting stabilizers in recent years, archers will be allowed a front and rear/side stabilizer not to exceed 20” from the riser. Archers will be allowed 1 rear/side stabilizer, not 2 in a V-bar configuration.
Recurve Class
If it doesn’t have cams or wheels, it goes in this class. All recurves are welcome: Olympic, barebow, or anything in between.
Youth Class
Anyone 16 years old and under has the option to be in this division. No matter what bow they shoot or what accessories they have on it.
Scoring:
The two compound divisions will use a 40cm 3-spot triangle target face. From most inner to most exterior the scoring will be as follows: X, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, Miss. X’s will not count for additional score but will be used in the event of a tie.
The two recurve divisions will have the option of the above 40cm 3-spot triangle target face or a 60 cm single spot target face. The single spot shall be scored as follows: X, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, Miss.
Each archer will complete a 10-end round, for a total possible score of 300, for each division they are in. Archers will have from 10am Tuesday through 4pm Sunday to shoot and turn in their official scoring target for this league. Targets will be labeled for each archer with their first name, last name initial, and the corresponding week of the league. This will be the archer’s official scoring target for that week. Archers will only receive credit for the targets they turn in. Archers can participate in multiple divisions, so long as they register and pay for each division, they intend to participate in. If an archer is participating in multiple divisions, they will get a labeled target for each division each week.
Fees and Prizes:
- Archers 17 years old and older will be required to pay a one-time registration fee of $60
- Archers 16 years old and younger will be required to pay a one-time registration fee of $30
First and second place in each division (at least 5 participants) will receive Double X gift cards.
- First place will receive a $100 gift card.
- Second place will receive a $50 gift card.
