Meet the Team
Dean
Dean got his first real bow in 2011 which was an Olympic Recurve Bow. His first official coach was Ruth Rowe, (1984 US Olympic Archery Team) though, there were many individuals that helped in many ways to develop his skills and increase his knowledge in the sport of archery. Dean started out to become a competitor but found himself helping other archers to improve their skills. As his popularity grew, many suggested that he should become a US Archery Certified instructor. Dean set aside his aspirations to be a competitor yielding to the demand to coach at a high caliber. By 2016, Dean earned Level 4 NTS certification directly from former USA Archery Head Olympic Coach, Kisik Lee.
Over the years, Dean has been involved in performance camps, advanced workshops, and seminars. He has collaborated with other coaches towards promoting the sport of archery. As an archery judge, Dean has officiated many local tournaments. During his tenure as the Head Archery Coach at NOVA, the club earned the prestigious Club Excellence accolade from USA Archery.
